Title 🌤️ Development of electron beam irradiation station for FLASH experiments at the PBP-CMU Electron Linac Laboratory 👑
💛 Kanlayaporn Kongmali and Sakhorn Rimjaem
🌟🎃✨This research presents the design of an electron beam irradiation setup for FLASH radiotherapy (FLASH-RT) experiments at the PBP-CMU Electron Linac Laboratory. Beam dynamics simulations using ASTRA were performed from the RF gun to the irradiation station, and electron interactions with titanium window and flattening filter were modeled using GEANT4. The optimized beam, with energies of 5 and 25 MeV, achieved controlled beam size, charge, and pulse structure. Aluminum flattening filters were employed to ensure dose uniformity in water phantoms. Diagnostic tools including current transformers, a Faraday cup, and a dipole magnet were used to precisely measure beam properties. This foundational 💫🌠 🌼💛
