Workshop on “Applications of Optical Technology in Agriculture and Food”

The Postharvest Technology Research Center, Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University; the Postharvest Technology Innovation Center; the Center of Expertise in Postharvest Technology; the Center of Expertise in Particle Accelerator Technology; the Center of Excellence in Physics; and the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) jointly organized a workshop entitled “Applications of Optical Technology in Agriculture and Food” during August 13–14, 2024, at the Butsakorn Room, NECTEC Building, Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province. The objective of the workshop was to enhance the understanding of experts, faculty members, and researchers who are interested in the application of electromagnetic wave technology in agriculture and food sectors. The event aimed to raise awareness of the capabilities of such technologies and their appropriate application in future agricultural and food-related research and practices. It also sought to foster further academic services, research development, and collaboration among multidisciplinary experts. The following six members from the PBP CMU Electron Linac Laboratory (PCELL) were invited to take part in the workshop:

  5. Mr. Teerapat Sanitta
  6. Ms. Siriwan Pakluea

On August 13, 2024, Ms. Siriwan Pakluea was invited as a guest speaker to deliver a lecture on the topic “Development and User Service Plan of the Time-Domain Terahertz Spectroscopy System at Chiang Mai University.”
